ROLEPLAY SAMPLE Hermione nestled into the couch that was in front of the fireplace in the Gryffindor common room. It was late afternoon and classes were over, so the majority of people had chosen to go off and do their own thing. She sighed and flipped open her Defense Against the Dark Arts book. Really, the whole class was just a waste of time now. That Umbridge woman really had no idea what it meant to teach a school at Hogwarts. One couldn’t learn defense simply by reading about it! Hermione had a bad feeling about that woman the minute she saw her up at the staff table the first night of the school year.
This was not the first time that Hermione was reading this particular chapter in the Defense Against the Dark Arts book. She had a habit of reading all through all of her school books as soon as she got them. One could never be too prepared, after all, and Hermione made it a priority to always be prepared. Hermione shut the book oh so carefully (after all there were very few reasons to treat a book harshly and slamming it) and held it close to herself, pondering.
Not a minute later, Crookshanks hopped up onto the couch next to her and snuggled close to her before curling up in a ball, preparing to fall asleep. Voldemort was coming back and it didn’t matter if Fudge and Umbridge didn’t believe what Harry had to say; the Dark Lord was going to prepare his forces, whether the Hogwarts students knew how to defend themselves too well. Her mind wandered to the younger students that were just beginning to learn defense. Something definitely needed to change before things turned for the worse.[/blockquote]
