Lee was going to kill him. He was going to think Fred was being an idiot when in reality he’d have been an idiot for letting his best friend run off by himself. Of course, there were two reasons for that; the first one being that it was dangerous and the second being that Fred couldn’t let Lee go out and have all the fun. Lee’d said where he was going, so obviously he involuntarily gave Fred permission and encouragement to tag along. With Lee, that was never going to fly but, as a matter of fact, Fred really didn’t care. George was busy.. George had told him to go, and George should have predicted that leaving those two alone together was about as smart as locking a hyperactive four year old in a room with nothing but a red button that blows up Canada. It’s okay, though, because nobody cares about Canada so it didn’t really occur to Fred that anything was going to go wrong. He’d be with Lee, so they could handle it. They could always handle it. They deserved to be dead for believing that to be true after undergoing death-defying odds over and over again.
But..they weren’t dead, and Fred wanted to keep it that way and something in his mind was irrationally and ridiculously telling him that the two of them were capable of staying out of trouble. And so he left his exciting life (he’d been laying in bed staring at the ceiling for a few hours deciding when he should go), slipping a light jacket on and making sure his wand was securely in a pocket. He let George know that he was leaving and then he took the only form of transportation that he could comfortably use. With a loud crack, Fred apparated to where Lee had told him he’d be near. Now, Fred could have appeared many feet away from Lee, or like out of sight in the general area. But instead, the twin appeared directly in front of Lee, nearly stumbling to the ground as he caught his balance. As much as he did it, you’d think he could figure out how to do it without almost falling on his face.
After maintaining his footing, Fred looked at Lee, almost surprised to see him right there. ’Ello, mate, he greeted nonchalantly. Look, I know what you’re thinking and I’d like to tell you to save it but I know you better than to expect you to be quiet. But if you could talk about something more.. pleasant, like how nice the sky looks then do so by all means. He casually took his wand out, twirling it in his right hand.

Okay, so I'm gonna be serious this time. I'm really gonna write a serious post. I'm not gonna start off by ranting about epics or dragons or any other irreverent information like that. Because this is a serious thread where serious things happen. Tilly, laugh. And now that you know that, we can get on with it. Which is what we're doing... Now... Alright, so this whole avoiding people and places with people and remaining quietly in the shadows as to avoid getting caught and killed and all that other fun stuff thing.. yeah, that wasn't working out so well. Lee Jordan- not exactly graced in the art of subtlety...or silence..or..really any of the other skills or traits which would prove advantageous in this situation. So basically, it was a wonder he was even still in the same general area that he'd told Fred and George he'd be in.. which he knew was a dumb thing to do by the way, but he knew he had to do or else Fred (yeah, just Fred) would flip out and probably- no, not probably, definitely- do something insanely stupid.
Not that Fred wasn't going to do something stupid anyway. Fred always did stupid things. And so did he. And somehow, even thought they kept doing stupid things, everything always worked out alright in the end. And there's really no logical reason for why that happens (it's cuz we can't kill them) but there was no way Lee was even going to chance it when he knew he was walking into a completely horrible situation even though he really hadn't had a choice of walking into it or not so it was more like being on a pirate ship and having to walk the plank only that's a really horrible analogy and this is a serious post so moving on. The point I was trying to make- Fred's an idiot. And Lee definitely should not have been surprised when all of a sudden, completely out of nowhere, poof- one obnoxious red head at your service.
Anyway, he shouldn't have been surprised, but when avoiding people is a very integral part of what you're trying to and someone pops up in front of you with no warning and a very obnoxious noise surprise is a very rational, expected emotion. These kinds of things warrant spazzing more than when a song you like starts playing. "Bloody-- what the hell are you doing here?" Seriously- he should have known, but that didn't make him any less annoyed that Fred hadn't listened to him. I mean, not like he wasn't really happy to see him or anything (like, on a list of all the people he'd have liked to see Fred was like waay at the top) but still- not good, very bad, other synonyms here for emphasis. "No. No way. If you knew what I was thinking you wouldn't be here because this hasta be one of the dumbest things you've ever done."

Mhm, so we all know Lee Jordan sucks at everything involving remaining inconspicuous. We’re also all very aware of how helpful this is when Lee is in a situation that involves people you don’t want to piss off. I think it’s safe for us to come to the conclusion that Lee really shouldn’t have been out by himself carrying these flaws on his back. He just needed someone.. a little less bad-situation prone than Fred. But it was mostly Lee’s fault.. he’s the one that left on his own after telling nosey people where he was going. Good.. glad we’re in agreement. Fred had missed Lee, anyway, so he was totally on board with the idea of joining him even if it meant getting idiotic ‘you’re being dumb go home’ speeches. He did deserve it..a little. But that was only because he could have arrived in a manner that didn’t scare people.. especially while they were trying to avoid people in general. In Fred’s defense, though, it wasn’t like Lee had thought for an instant that Fred was a death eater, so it’s not like he’d given Lee a heart attack or anything.
Was he really surprised? Really, Lee Jordan? Bloody—what the hell are you doing here? Not talking to you about the sky, I s’pose. You’ve offended ‘im. He’d literally just suggested a perfectly good conversation topic and Lee deliberately ignored it. Guess they were going to have this ridiculous discussion in which neither of them would end up agreeing with the other because that’s always how fights went between the two. No. No way. If you knew what I was thinking you wouldn’t be here because this hasta be one of the dumbest things you’ve ever done. Well that was just offensive. No, I’m pretty sure letting Ron make me breakfast that one time was the dumbest.. that or telling you the door was gone. With those in first and second, my coming here must rank pretty low on the list. He smirked, now tapping one of his hands with his wand. Did you really think George or I wasn’t going to show up? You’re out in the open.. no charms or anything. What kind of hiding do you think you’re doing?

Mhm, so we all know Fred Weasley has the listening skills of the average five year old. And we're also all very aware that he thinks jumping into dangerous situations is perfectly fine and normal but getting out of them is a horrible sin. (Nope, you're never living that complete illogicality down.) I think it’s safe for us to come to the conclusion that Fred really shouldn't have been out by himself carrying these flaws on his back. There was absolutely nothing about this situation that was Lee's fault (although, he probably shouldn't have told nosy people where he was going) and we are in no way in agreement with the narration in Fred's post. We also don't agree with Fred in general. So this works out well.
Here Lee was trying to be serious and Fred- not helping. At all. Not talking to you about the sky, I s’pose. You’ve offended ‘im. "Yeah, well he deserves it, after that one time, in Hogsmeade." Okay, so it was genuinely hard to not just joke around because it was Fred and Lee, and Lee wasn't really upset with Fred, he just.. was trying to be, and we all know how that just didn't work out for them. If being amused was hard before, it was basically impossible after the 'top two stupid things Fred Weasley's done' explanation. He had to admit, those were definitely up there. However..so was this. "It's still in the top ten."
Did you really think George or I wasn’t going to show up? "No-- because I know how stupid you are. But I was hoping that someone would talk some sense into you before then." No such luck. Of course Fred would have something to say about his 'hiding'..which was admittedly about about as good as standing behind a door playing hide and seek and hoping nobody would come in the room cause if they pushed it you were getting smacked in the face ( and if you moved you'd step on the noisy springy thing.. it just wasn't a very good hiding spot). Lee was going to defend himself anyway. "It's basically the middle of nowhere. Nobody's gonna randomly come here.. other than you."

Lee needed to find himself a new best friend if being serious was what he expected from Fred once he arrived. After all, Lee was pissed off (except he really wasn’t) so how could Fred be serious? If he was, they’d end up pointlessly yelling at each other. Lee was still in the mood for snark, it seemed, and Fred chuckled at his response revealing their vendetta against the sky. Heh, so you are joking. Of course, he knew Lee was serious about him being there and that being a bad idea and all that. Lee made sure to bring to Fred’s attention that what he was doing is stupid and that was just really good because Fred had no idea that what he was doing was stupid without Lee telling him (-sarcasm-). I mean, of course he knew.. he also knew that Lee trying to do this alone was one up on the stupid scale. Anyone doing it alone was. If Fred had made the decision to hide out alone Lee would’ve killed him (if George didn’t get to him first) so this argument was really just pointless. It’s still in the top ten. Thanks for keeping track. I have trouble sometimes.
Fred chuckled at Lee’s next comment. Because Fred Weasley was an easy person to sway. No—because I know how stupid you are. But I was hoping that someone would talk some sense into you before then. Comon, mate, have you tried talking sense into me? In Lee’s tiny defense, he was in the middle of nowhere and the chances of people stumbling upon him were slim to none. But the fact of the matter was that people were going to be looking for anyone who looked out of line.. and the chances of Lee being found while people were looking.. well they were a lot higher and Fred would much rather be with him if the chances were higher than zero. Randomly.. you’re probably right. But if you get found you’re not getting found alone and that’s that. He looked around before looking at Lee again with curiosity. Don't s'pose you had a plan involving where you're actually going, did you? Man, he'd missed Lee.

'Heh, so you are joking.' Obviously he was joking. Seriously, there was no way the two of them could go any amount of time regardless of the situation without finding something to be completely and inappropriately obnoxious about. That said nothing about..anything. It said nothing about anything. "No, I'm not. The sky seriously is not worthy of our conversation." Yeah, no, at this point, Lee was completely aware that he wasn't going to be convincing Fred of anything, but he had to run through all the options and say he tried so that later when everything went completely wrong it wouldn't be all his fault (it would still be mostly his fault but he could at least say that Fred was the one being a complete idiot).
"It's okay. We all know you have trouble with common sense." Even Fred was willing to admit it. 'Comon, mate, have you tried talking sense into me?' "You mean like using doors and things? Normal modes of transportation?... You're right. I don't know why I thought anyone would be able to-- okay, George couldn't have possibly thought this was a good idea." Yeah, okay, so they had a sort of system when these kinds of things happened, and the sooner Lee started ranting, the sooner Fred got his way, so..whatever; they both knew this was what was going to happen anyway.
'Randomly.. you’re probably right. But if you get found you’re not getting found alone and that’s that.' "Do I get any say in this plan?" I mean, Lee had sort of resigned himself to the fact he was probably going to get killed cause he had absolutely no freaking idea what he was doing and people who KNEW what they were doing were getting killed and he just didn't see any reason to bring Fred into this situation unnecessarily. Yeah, he'd missed him. No, he wasn't willing to risk his life. 'Don't s'pose you had a plan involving where you're actually going, did you?' "Yeah, aboout that..." Funny story, mate "No idea."
