She continued to worship Professor Trelawney during her fourth year. Additionally, Hogwarts hosted the Triwizard Tournament and Lavender was as surprised as everyone when Hogwarts had not one but two champions. At first she supported Cedric more, but she was in the same year as Harry Potter and was pretty sure he'd do well too. She began being more interested in his friend though, who at first didn't seem all too concerned with Harry's safety. Lavender was beginning to crush on Ronald Weasley, though he wasn't like the other people she had had crushes on. But at the Yule Ball, she went to the party with a friend, Seamus Finnigan. At the end of the Tournament, Harry came out of a maze with a dead body that belonged to Cedirc Diggory. Over the summer she decided she wasn't sure what she believed, because Harry had arrived with Cedric and she didn't think he would kill the older Hufflepuff, but the Ministry was saying that the Dark Lord wasn't back and that there was no danger.

ANYTHING ELSE?- um, hi?
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE (this is by far the worst sample I've ever written :/ )
Most of the summer had been spent sending letters to her friend Parvati Patil. The events of last year left her wondering what she believed in. She was left wondering who she believed in. Normally, Lavender would just go with the flow. She was a gullible kind of girl, though she would never admit that to herself or anyone else, it was widely known that she tended to believe whatever she heard. Professor Trelawney was a good example of this. Lavender believed whatever her Divination teacher told her. What she wouldn't have given for a conversation with the professor this summer. Maybe Professor Trelawney could give her some insight into what was really going on. Maybe she knew if Harry was telling the truth or of Lavender should be trusting the Ministry more. Her conversations with her best friend hadn't left her much to go on.
Another owl out the window and then Lavender turned around and looked at her room. Nothing had been packed and school started in two weeks. Her parents were going to just yell at her. Okay, maybe that wasn't going to happen, but she didn't think they'd be entirely thrilled that she hadn't packed at all and school was coming up so soon. It would be her fifth year. The horrors of last year might not be over, but she was excited to get back to her friends and figure out what they were all thinking.
With a long sigh, she grabbed her sweater from her bed and forced into her school trunk. There, now one thing was packed. She resigned herself to packing up tonight. Her books made their way into the trunk. Then her school robes. Finally, with a bit of a sad look, her wand made its way into the trunk, where it would stay until they went to the platform. She heard her parents calling her for tea and with another sigh, she made her way dowstairs.
